Guidelines for the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program, an academic minor program of the Graduate School of Law, Hitotsubashi University

(Purpose)

Article 1

These guidelines shall stipulate the requirements for the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program, an academic minor program of the Graduate School of Law, Hitotsubashi University (hereinafter referred to as “the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program”), which aims to develop expertise in the European Union.

 

 

(Eligibility for the Program)

Article 2

The persons eligible to participate in the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program shall be students enrolled in the master’s, doctoral, or professional degree programs of the graduate schools of Hitotsubashi University.

 

 

(Courses and Credits)

Article 3

The courses and credits for the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program shall be as per the appendix.

 

 

(Requirements for completion of the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program)

Article 4

  1. Students enrolled in the master’s or professional degree programs shall complete a total of 16 credits or more from among the courses listed in the appendix, including the EU Workshop and EU Research Skills I and II.
  2. Students in the doctoral programs shall complete a total of 18 credits or more from among the courses listed in the appendix, including the EU Workshop and EU Research Skills I and II. Moreover, students are required to make an open presentation on their dissertations in the presence of faculty members in charge of the EU Workshop course.

 

 

(Registration)

Article 5

Students who wish to enroll in the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program must submit a Request for Enrollment in the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program (attached Form 1) to the Educational Affaires Division, Department of Academic Affairs and participate in the predetermined orientation.

 

 

(Certification of Program Completion)

Article 6

  1. Among the students enrolled in the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program, those wishing to obtain a program completion certificate must submit a Request for an EU Interdisciplinary Research Program Completion Certificate (attached Form 2) to the Educational Affaires Division, Department of Academic Affairs by the date determined separately.
  2. The completion of the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program shall be certified by the Graduate School of Law Committee.
  3. The EU Interdisciplinary Research Program Completion Certificate (attached Form 3 and Form 4) shall be granted to students who have completed the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program at the time when they complete the program in the graduate school of their major.

 

 

(Clerical Work)

Article 6

The clerical work related to the EU Interdisciplinary Research Program shall be conducted by the Educational Affaires Division, Department of Academic Affairs in collaboration with the Administration Office of the Graduate School of Law. Supplementary provision: The guidelines shall be put into effect on April 1, 2013.
