The Japan-Europe Legal Communication Training and Development Programme (gJ-E Programmeh) is a government-funded project, selected from among a number of applications as a series of gInitiatives on Attractive Graduate School Educationh under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Law traditionally values following factors to be an excellent law scholar- to be receptive to a new idea and to be proactive in disseminating information, and to be critical and to be creative. Facing with challenges of the borderless society, all these factors should not remain inside Japan. It is required for future law scholars to express own views in an internationally communicative language, to discuss with other scholars internationally to refine research work for furtherance of creativity.
For this purpose, the J-E Programme is launched. To be more specific, the J-E Program aims:
-
To increase academic legal writing skills primarily in English;
-
To increase skills to make a presentation, discuss, and
refine research work primarily in English; and
-
To develop skills to teach Japanese law in English, and
to support education activities overseas of Japanese law.
And our missions are as follows.
